“and in case you haven’t heard it in a while:
FOR ANYONE WHO FEELS LIKE THEY DON’T EXIST, FOR HUMANKIND LETTER #10
i’m glad you exist.”
For Humankind
the webcomic i made for anyone who needs it
Summary
One day I woke up and realized I wanted to love the whole world. So I wrote it some letters. And those letters are received by a little ghost named Yu.
Meet Yu the Ghost

This is Yu! A good little ghost boy.
Originally, Yu was just a little ghost floating along, but then someone gifted him a pair of shoes when she saw he didn’t have any. It was the first time in his entire ghost life he had ever really felt seen.
And with each letter he receives in this series, his life continues to grow brighter and brighter.
How it Started
There was a whole list of things I wanted to try: I wanted to try my hand at digital watercolor art; I wanted to bring back a ghost character I’ve used once before; I wanted to create a vertical-scrolling webcomic.
But mostly I wanted to create something that had the potential to comfort anyone who needed it, and I wanted to write it in such a way that it felt like it was speaking directly to them.
So I decided to combine all of those things into this comforting comic, which is essentially me illustrating letters I write.
Nothing feels more personal and direct than a letter, so feel free to pick up any of the letters in this series and read it as if it’s written just for you…
It is.
How it’s Going
I have the loveliest readers! Here’s what a few of them have said about this series:

A READER FROM WEBTOON
This is so beautiful… the thing you’re making is more than an art, for me it’s not easy to get emotions from something I read but this is so sincere and warm… thank you for making my day brighter

Some of My Favorite Scenes
It’s been fun to see my drawing skills improve as I work on this series (though drawing a character consistently might forever be a challenge). Here are some of my favorite panels I’ve illustrated.

A Final Note
If you’re someone who reads and enjoys this series, thank you for your love and support. I really am glad you’re here.
