I’ve only spent one birthday alone.
As someone who doesn’t really enjoy the extra attention and pressure a birthday tends to bring, I thought it would be great to spend the day with just myself.
So after I had finished classes for the day and spent some time on homework, I settled myself into the campus cafeteria to watch a student-run singing competition while I enjoyed my favorite fast food for dinner.
These were my birthday plans. I made them myself and I had been looking forward to them all week. This moment was supposed to be great.
…but it was surprisingly lonely.
I mentally sat myself back in that cafeteria while I wrote this letter. I simply said the things that might have made that birthday a little less lonely for me.
If you ever find yourself alone on your birthday, I hope you get the chance to pull this letter out and read it. I hope it can keep you company on your special day.
I really am glad you’re here. Happy birthday.
Favorite Panel: This first panel of balloons. I just love the colors and the way the balloons are placed.

P.S. Thank you for all the birthday wishes y’all left me on Webtoon! I felt so loved while reading them.
