I wanted to visualize how it feels to turn to my hobbies whenever I’m overwhelmed with stress, worries, and anxieties.

The worries can start as what feels like a mountain of them inside my head and I become so fixed on them I can’t see anything else.

Then I sit down and open one of my writing projects, spend some time in it, and before I know it, the worries have found their way out of my mind and onto the paper. And the mountain is reduced to almost nothing.

It’s the best.

My hobbies are something I hold near and dear to my heart for this very reason. They make me feel so, so good. Especially writing. It has both saved and changed my life.

So! If I may offer a suggestion for the next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed with stress, worries, and/or anxieties: turn to your hobbies, turn to a creative outlet, and just pour yourself into it. It will help lessen the load on your mind.

That’s about all I have to say, I think.

I’m off to write.

Favorite Panel: There were SO many panels I liked in this one, but the panel with cookies wins out in the end. I think the little Yu is adorable. And I love cookies, so.
