Winter tends to leave me feeling gloomy due to the lack of sunshine, so I found myself thinking how helpful it would be if I had a little jar of sunshine I could whip out on the days I need it most. That’s how this letter came to be.

As someone who usually works in black and white, this webtoon is always pushing me when it comes to coloring my illustrations. I tend to dread picking colors (though I am getting better at it as I learn more and more about color theory), but I knew exactly which colors I would choose going into this one, which made this very fun for me.

The idea was to have everything feel icy and gray except for the sunshine. I like how it turned out.

The funny thing is, in making this letter I really did manage to bring about some sunshine. The day after this went up on Webtoon, the temperature randomly jumped from 30 degrees Fahrenheit to 70 degrees.

Um… magic?

Favorite Panel: Yu standing on a keyboard. I love shrinking him down and having him wander around on ordinary objects. It’s my *favorite* thing to draw.
